Nord cases prices getting out of hand
The GB 49 bag went from $199 to $369 in one jump.
And I've seen a Nord 88 case for $999 from a retail store! (many are $499-699 currently). {jan 2023}
Still.....very pricey all around

Re: Nord cases prices getting out of hand
Buy third-parties bags: 999$'s a price I'd expect from a Louis Vuitton bag, not Nord's.

Re: Nord cases prices getting out of hand
Quite a lot of talk on the forum about Nord bags these days!
As mentioned, in my experience Nord bags are ok for light use or if you don't have a heavy hammer action board (that is, an HA88).
But in general, I'd recommend the Gator G-PG series: MUCH more robust, with more pockets, handles and accessories, and at a fraction of the price!

Re: Nord cases prices getting out of hand
For those of us in the US, Sweetwater has been running a sales promotion for Nord bags, with noticeable discounts. Now they are just merely very expensive vs. outrageous.
All kidding aside, I have always been happy with the Nord bags and less so with any alternative. So I buy the Nord bags. Wy wife feels the same way about purses.

Re: Nord cases prices getting out of hand
Knowing a few friends who have had instruments stolen, I use ummarked cases. Someone looking at my keyboard bag wouldn't know if it had a Nord or Casio (no offense) in it.

Re: Nord cases prices getting out of hand
I personally find the Fusion keyboard cases to be just as light and more protective. They're not cheap either, but are better value for the money. Unfortunately they are a little inconsistent with product availability and are not carried by a lot of retailers. I ended up buying one direct from them.
The Gator cases are nice too, but are rather bulky by comparison.

Re: Nord cases prices getting out of hand
Just for curiosity: do you use the Fusion keyboard gigbag for a 88 key Nord Stage, and if so which of the several 76-88 keys keyboard bags fits best for a Nord Stage 2 / 3 with 88 keys? Their German shop shows the Keyboard 08 and Keyboard 12 gigbag model as being available on stockRusty Mike wrote:I personally find the Fusion keyboard cases to be just as light and more protective. Re: Nord cases prices getting out of hand
I don't play an 88. I have a Stage 2EX 76HP, and the Keyboard 07 bag is a perfect fit. I also have the Keyboard 06 bag for my Electro 6 73. The 06 and 07 bags are very light to carry. The Stage comes out of the house at least weekly (the Electro is rarely taken out of the studio), and, after 7 years of use, the corners of the bag have frayed just a bit. Nothing unexpected, and it has held up very very well.Schorsch wrote:Just for curiosity: do you use the Fusion keyboard gigbag for a 88 key Nord Stage, and if so which of the several 76-88 keys keyboard bags fits best for a Nord Stage 2 / 3 with 88 keys? I'm all about the light weight, so an 88 is not something I'd entertain. If I were to play an 88, I would probably look at the wheeled version (Keyboard 12) so I could drag it along if I needed to go a distance. The upside of the Fusion bags is that even the wheeled versions are not significantly heavier than the carry-only version. I recall the Nord branded wheeled 76 bag to be significantly heavier than the Fusion.
If you do choose the Keyboard 08, it can be carried backpack style if you are so inclined.
