Looking for spare parts for the Roland DP-10 sustain pedal

Post by Schorsch »

Hello,

I'm using a couple of Roland DP-10 sustain pedals and the rubber plate of one of these pedals got damaged, I am therefore looking to get a replacement - does anyone from the european members here know where to get such spare parts in the EU?

Thanks a lot!
Regards Schorsch

https://www.roland.com/de/products/dp-10/support/ Try... but given the price of the DP10 I am not sure they will sell spare parts, maybe a DIY repair is the way to go.

Hi Max,

you are right - I contacted them and they replied that no spare parts are available for a DP10

Out of curiosity @Schorsch, what is broken? Can you post a photo?

Unfortunately not, I threw it away already. The rubber plate had a small crack that kept getting bigger and bigger. I don't know where the crack came from, it happened on a stage a few years ago - maybe a nail or a piece of glass.

Maybe you can find a rubber floor tile of the right thickness (in one of those big specialized stores) and cut it to the right shape, using the other DP10 as a reference.

Yes that's what I will do now (no other chance anyway ;) )

Someone in another forum advised me to try something like this which is a cheap option: https://www.thomann.de/gb/schlagwerk_sp ... 9&reload=1

The only problem is to carve out the round "half-depth" hole for the metal ring with the screw, that would be a bit tricky I guess
