Nord Value

Post by nordworship »

I'm trying to determine the depreciated value of my Nord stage 2 HA76 but can't seem to find any information. I'm trying to sell so i can upgrade, I would love to hear all your thoughts on what this old dog may be worth for selling.

Hi-

I think you will find that Nord Keyboards have an excellent resale value, especially compared to Korg, Roland, Yamaha, etc. For an example, I purchased a Stage 2 Compact new from Sweetwater in 2011 for $3299. I sold it to a church (in excellent condition) in 2017 for $2500. Prices have changed a lot since then, but I think you will find that they can give a new owner years of service.

Hope this helps-

Try Reverb.com to get some data points. There is a NS2EX-76 purportedly in mint condition for sale for $2,990.

If you look at Reverb, don't even consider asking prices, they're usually ridiculously bloated.
The Price Guide, however, lists what the item sold for, and gives you a much more realistic view on the real market value of a thing.

Also keep in mind that Reverb takes a fee of around 10%, so its prices will always be higher than on other platforms like, say, facebook marketplace or local ads.

EDIT:
I noticed that the info I posted refer to the Stage 2EX HP76, not to your original Stage 2 HA. Consider a couple of hundred bucks less for the previous model.

The NS2 HA 76 is a bit of a rarer breed, given that it was the only version that had the HA action with 76 keys. With the NS2 EX and NS3, they switched to the HP action. While the overall transport weight of the HA 76 is more than that of the HP 76, I highly prefer the HA action. I think you will definitely have a market for your instrument, particularly if you look in the right places, like this forum and some of the Facebook groups focused on Nord and Nord Stage users.
