Nord Lead / Rack 2X Long Term Reliability

Post by tsss27 »

I was looking into picking up a used Rack 2X, as besides the Wave2 which has no rack version, it seems to be the only Lead which technically allows for separate mod wheel, pedal and aftertouch assignment even if the choices are limited.
Anyway, I am just curious if a lot of people are still using the 2x and if they've had any problems? Looking through this forum concerns me a little because it seems like there are a lot of threads about issues with parts failing on these units. Maybe I am better off looking for something else with a similar workflow?

I have a Rack 2X.

It works as it should for years. Not a single hiccup.

I would say that the thing is the bias. Here is the forum where every single problem would be reported. But it doesn't necessarily reflect the probability you would find one.

Old Nords are reliable to a ridiculously degree.
