NS 3 Glitching - HELP!
Hi, I have an NS3 HP76 which has served me really well for the last four years. Recently It's been a bit glitchy, getting stuck on the Master Clock page, even when i don't press it, and also spontaneously changing programme or (horror) turning on the transpose setting without my pressing it. I'm trying to figure out if this is a software or hardware issue and am about to do a factory reset and have the latest firmware but dont really know what's causing the problem or how to fix it. Has anyone any advice for me? I've shows every day for the next 10 days so have zero time to get it serviced or sent away. fingers crossed for me!

Re: NS 3 Glitching - HELP!
its a hardware problem. Software/firmware doesn't cause these types of issues.
First thing I would do is open the unit and reseat all of the connectors. You can do them one by one, just separate them and then carefully reconnect and fully seat each connector making sure to get the connector back on the pins correctly.
If that doesn't solve the issue it will have to be sent in for further repair.

What cgrafx said + you may also spray some electronics contact cleaner ("Deoxit") on the pins and inside the connectors (not too much, just enough to clean the contacts) before reconnecting the cables.

Hi...you might check out the buttons for the functions that are glitching. Sometimes that can cause functions to turn on unexpectedly. There was a recent poster that was able to fix a button without opening the instrument.
