A question about PRG Change via Midi
Hi all
First of all, sorry about my terrible english!
It is no problem to change the patches in Electro 6, except every patch behind x44. I cannot Choose y14 or z24
I think that i have to switch the LSB to 4, but the electro will ignore the PRG Chg.
And sometimes i send a correct PRG chg Message, but the electro switch to a wrong patch?? I checked 10 times my Midi message, but i cannot find the reason for this problem.
I hope i could explain my both problems - cheers to all!
Heinz

Re: A question about PRG Change via Midi
Hi, have you tried to monitor (with a MIDI monitoring app on a computer) what the NE6 sends when you select a Bank then a Program from that Bank on it?
That's what you have to send to get the same (first Bank select MSB/LSB then PC)

Hi, I just wrote a small App to calculate the Midi Program.

Hi Marcel,
great, thank you for this!
I also like the overview of all MIDI controllers
P.S.: I was also trying to download the Windows version from your webpage, but the download does not start - is there anything special to consider when trying to download it? Tried with Firefox instead of Chrome and it worked ..

Re: A question about PRG Change via Midi
Sorry Herr Schröder, but it seems to me, that the app do not work realy correctly. It shows some wrong MSB / LSB values for the electro 6.Schroederonline wrote:Hi, I just wrote a small App to calculate the Midi Program.

If i pick a value more for example x:11, it goes directly to N : 24
Higher values than G… is not possible.

Re: A question about PRG Change via Midi
Maybe, there really are problems. But if you want it corrected, you'd need to specify what you were using!
I tested it with the Win64 desktop version 1.25. And X:11 wasn't allowed for an Electro 6 (where that program number should exist) while it was allowed for a Stage 3 (where it doesn't exist).
I then tested P:13 and calculated it by hand. Starting with MSB:0, LSB:0, PC:0 for A:11. Which will never lead me to MSB:1 (should be the value for Songs), LSB:4 (shouldn't exist), PC:3, but to MSB:0, LSB:3, PC:2 if I used my fingers in a correct way.
Which leaves me irritated. Where's the mistake?

Re: A question about PRG Change via Midi
Sorry - i thought the picture shows an iphone, so for me was clear that i testet the IOS app. And i want to use it for a Nord electro 6D and there, so seems to me, are a lot of mistakes in the app.FZiegler wrote:Maybe, there really are problems.
