Hi, NS2 does not support directly a pedal to do Program Up, only via MIDI so you need to use a MIDI Pedal that can send Program changes (e.g. https://www.tech21nyc.com/products/effects/midi-mouse/)

Re: Question about footswitch pedal for program up with NS2
Some keyboards do and other keyboards don't, many Stage Pianos for example don't (and on the other hand the NS2 specs and manual are available before purchase to consult and discover what it can or cannot do, so this absence should not be a surprise after).Progman wrote:I can't find Tech 21 midimouse on amazon, maybe this pedal is discontinued? It amazes me that Nord did not offer program up pedal input with the NS2 which is a very expensive stage keyboard. Keyboards from more than 20 years ago have such input.
I have been a NS2 user for long time and never felt the need for it (but it is subjective of course) also because you have to consider that NS2 does not support seamless transition (so you would have a sound interruption anyway, at that point you can also use a hand to switch the Program), as instead NS3 does and in fact NS3 has the Program up/down pedal input.

Price and features are not 1:1 correlated in the world of electronic keyboards, otherwise what should we say of the Minimoog?Progman wrote: Seamless transition should have been a basic feature as well, for such expensive stage keyboard. Stage 3 is not an option for me.
The good side of today's world is that we, the users, have all means to know what a keyboard does or not in advance and then make our buy/not-buy decisions based on that. Nord didn't have in their technology the possibility to handle seamless transition when NS2 was designed and issued, fact; when it was finally developed Nord included seamless transition in all stage models (NE6, NS3, NP5,...).
