nord lead a1
nord lead a1
Hi all! i have nord a1
update via usb connection, without midi cords
1) tell me, when I run the updater, my nord turns off and prepares for the update
2) I click "update" this message appears below...
3) and after running the update... this message appears again!
Is this normal and how should it be? what at the beginning of the update
4) while my firmware is 1.34,
Maybe this is normal when you repeat it, (if the firmware is already installed and I roll it over again)
5) but the site says something completely different, that when updating, it should say "ok" and the button "done"
who can check the owners of A1? install the firmware again and how will it behave in the process? everything will be the same ... as indicated by me or as in the instructions on the update site!
it's just that the site is not listed in the instructions for such a situation from a number of usb problems listed there
P.s - I clarify on this issue in order to understand, compare what is happening with you and what he writes in the process of preparation, about the onerror20 protocol
that he does not see the connection with usb and at the end of the update does not write "ok" or "done"
.... who are the owners of A1 - tell me or record a video how are you doing at the time of the update Refresh ...
Thanks!

Yes, I think you can go newer or older, but cannot update a unit with the same OS. Not sure why you would want to do that, though. A backup and factory reset are the best courses of action when a software-related problem is suspected-

Thanks!
1) I understand, but there is no newer version on the site! I put the last one!
2) how to reset the settings and all parameters? where to find out..
3) you have the same error, did you check? Or is it a problem when trying to reinstall the firmware?
because I had a nordwave there as much as you can put on it, there was no such thing!...

Re: nord lead a1
The bulk pipe write error is a USB connection error. After performing the factory reset procedure as described in the manual, try using a higher quality USB cable and directly plugging the Nord into your computer (make sure there is NO usb hub between your Nord Lead A1 and the host computer). If that fails, try programming it with a different computer. If that fails in the same way, contact Nord support as there might be something wrong with the A1's USB interface.
Re: nord lead a1
hi everyone again!
I'm writing to close the question and provide an explanation of what the result is:
I took another A1 from a friend with the same version 4.5,
and tried it on my computer, so everything is the same with his synthesizer ... when updating, it also turns off and writes on the screen, exactly the same as mine)
he has the same events on the laptop screen
most likely this is how version 4.5 works) so this is not a glitch, but simply the company itself has changed something inside)

Re: nord lead a1
Not sure that it's a glitch in the production, seems very odd.
They wouldn't release a whole production-line (if that's what you mean by version 4.5) which is impossible to update.
If the same error occurs with both the synths, then you should try another computer unit. If you have a windows computer, then try borrow a Macbook (doesn't need any drivers).
And as suggested earlier try another cable.

Re: nord lead a1
Are you able to connect the A1 to the Nord Sound Manager? If the A1 connects to the Sound Manager, then we can rule out USB problems.
My A1 is currently running on the 1.34 Firmware, so I cannot provide any video of the prosess. Is your A1 running on 1.32?

Re: nord lead a1
Hey! Haven't tried it on another device.
but i can connect to manager, (both a1) get presets, everything is transferred, edited and all default presets can be loaded. As mentioned above, I checked everything.
the firmware itself is updated normally, just when the update is connected, at the moment the A1 itself is turned off in preparation for installing the firmware, it goes out (the usb connection disappears) and the same action at the end when the A1 is turned on turns off and goes away after rebooting the update.
hence the question was, is everyone like that? Or just in my case? none of you sent me a video! on Windows exactly) but in this case, both tools behave the same way!
