Sample Editor crash when loading/dragging larger file-set

Everything about Nord keyboards in general; which one to choose, the sound manager, sample editor, and general discussion about the sample and piano libraries.

Sample Editor crash when loading/dragging larger file-set

Post by charter »

Hello Forum, I have a couple of questions. I recently started my expirience with the sample editor V4.12 (latest version dec 21 so far) and it´s a great tool. I have however two issues to far. My PC has a fresh installation of W10 w 16GB of RAM.

1) Upon dragging a set of samples (33 files) into the window the tool crashes. The samples are from a piano and the files are of course a little large but nothing special I would say (total ~60mb). I´m attaching a screen with would I see. I also get a crash when it worked with less files but still 20+ when I delete specific samples from what has already been imported. So it looks larger files or the amount of files to handle with is a problem.

2) Got another crash while inactive use in the editor. Not sure what the editor is doing in the background...but the PC was not handling anything else at that time.

3) On the import button it makes a difference if I hover and click on the "+" or on the description "IMPORT". On + I do get a full list of my directory and with import only a subset of files is being displayed. Not sure if this was meant to be like this and what´s the benefit of the the reduced list.

4) If I have a multisample with different velocity-layers I do see the number on the key- Let´s say 2...means I have 2 samples for that key. How is this being treated when importing? Does Nord recognize velocity triggered samples upon importing/processing?

Thx.
