Reference list of Nord site samples

Post by MEL868 »

I think Nord should provide a referenced list of all their site samples, so I don’t have to sift through all the categories, and not find what I’m looking for.

I'm just saying, it would be easier if there was an alphabetical list of samples that are currently available at NordKeyboards.com because sometimes I find it cumbersome to sift through the categories, and frustrating. I don't think such a list exists, and I couldn't find this inquiry on forum, but it's probably already been asked. Anyone have a list for Stage(s)?

Just asking for a friend,
Thanks.

Christian (@florence) who developed the Nord Stage Viewer application has made huge work to discover the hashcodes of all the Nord Piano and Nord Sample Library samples. This allows him to have the sample name displayed when reading a program file.
There are also sample information from well-known Nord sample sharing website like SC-Sounds in his database.

You can fetch the complete list of Nord samples in one of his file : https://github.com/Chris55/ns3-program-viewer/

The 'File Viewer' is amazing! I'm getting great use of it. It's extensive work that went in to this and much appreciated! I clicked on the link you've provided, but it's 'a programmer's or code' world and I'm having trouble finding the Nord samples list (or SC-Sounds) - I guess I need more hand holding in order to find it. Can you possibly point it out better somehow? If asking too much, no problem. Having the list would be a luxury, I can do without, just a wish.

Thank you. MEL

You could just download all of the samples on nord website into one folder on your computer and then sort them alphabetically. You could probably hire a teenager to do it for you for $100

LOL, no one wants to download all - OK, I get it, I'll just continue to do the sifting. What I know now...
HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR MOVE FROM STAGE 2 TO STAGE 3

#1. Upload and SAVE ALL of your SAMPLES (*.nsmp FILES) - they convert into NS3 sample files using the sound manager
2. Save all program (*.ns2P FILES) - above referenced link to FILE VIEWER can be used to reveal all of the parameters - any CUSTOM samples used in the program(s) will not be seen or accessible. Custom samples used in programs would have to be uploaded as a 'bundle'
3. Save (upload) any desired programs using custom samples separately as a bundle - this will keep the samples with the programs

The FILE VIEWER has saved me through my conversion, and is an excellent resource:

If you are just asking a list of the Stage 3 sample names, sorted alphabetically, in a file format, here it is in Microsoft Word format.

Thank you, wtibbit! This is very helpful. Are these the samples from an extracted list of you NS3? Either way, yes, it's helpful. I wish there was an alpha list for the other sample libraries on the official Nord site. Sometimes I'm looking for a specific sample, and not sure what category or where to find it on Nordkeyboards.com - sometimes it frustrates me to look through the categories and I can't find the versions I want. I know they're in alpha order, but it would be way cool if the website had a search tool to pull the samples. Wish list. I have NS3, so I can see the samples I have - my wish is for when I have to look for another authentic Nord sample. Sorry, so late to reply, I'm subbing in bands and very busy. Happy Holidays to you!

I can provide you a list of all the samples in XLS format.
Just tell me which library and what information/columns you require in the XLS.

MEL868, I just copied the text from the list of NS3 samples on Nord's website, then edited it so I could sort it alphabetically. It just took a few minutes. I agree about the idea of a search tool on Nord's website.
