Layering samples

Hello to all!
Does anyone know if you're able to create a layer of two samples in the sample editor and make them into a knew one and then save it?

It's not very clear what you mean by a sample being layered out of two samples. It's highly improbable that you can get the sample editor to layer sounds - there will probably be no layering functionality. And of course, you can not create a multi layer sample.

But on the other side, you can layer, stack and mix any number of sounds into one stereo downmix sound outside from NSE and import that one into the sample editor. It will always be a single layer (stereo) sound.

Based on your profile, it looks like you are a NS2 user. One other consideration for you if you want to use the NS2 for layering samples is to store one sample on each panel of a Program. You could then sample that layer and make it into a new sample. Or you may find that layering across the two panels meets your needs.
