Connecting Nord Pedal Keys 27 Swell Pedal to a MIDI Keyboard
I bought Nord Pedal Keys 27 to use with Nektar MIDI controller. However, when I plug Nord's Swell pedal's TRS plug to Nektar, my Hauptwerk software doesn't recognise this Swell pedal. Any ideas?

If I remember well you need to map it on Hauptwerk, it is not set by default. Of course, before that, check that with a midi monitor (MidiOx or similar) that the Nektar has recognized it properly and is sending the CC11 when you move the pedal.

Re: Connecting Nord Pedal Keys 27 Swell Pedal to a MIDI Keyb
Thanks for the answer. I checked with Midi monitor. There isn't any signal when I move the pedal. The signal is sending on and off when I press any key on Nektar but no action when I move the pedal. Does this mean this pedal isn't compatible with Nektar keyboards? Or is there any workaround?

Maybe or maybe you have to configure it on the Nektar (which model?) Check its manual

The model is Nektar Impact GX61 MIDI controller. They don't say anything about setting up an expression pedal, just foot switch.

Here's what's happening when I press and release some note:
17:18:22.188 From MIDI1 Note On 1 G1 25
17:18:22.343 From MIDI1 Note Off 1 G1 0
And here is when I plug the Swell pedal (no opening or closing, just plugging and unplugging):
17:18:29.044 From MIDI1 Control 1 Hold Pedal 0
17:19:14.272 From MIDI1 Control 1 Hold Pedal 127
When I open or close the pedal, there is no action.

So apparently that model doesn’t support an exp pedal, only a switch… you need a different/better master or a USB Exp Pedal interface like Audiofront’s https://www.audiofront.net/MIDIExpression.php

Hey,
How is the Nord Pedal Keys working for you with Hauptwerk? Is it letting you map specific bass notes to the pedals or are you stuck playing only as low as C2?
I really need to know this before I sign up to Hauptwerk.
