Pitchbend and Control Change for Sample Synth?

I'm trying to control Nord Electro 6D 61 by an external keyboard via MIDI. I noticed that the Sample Synth section (and the Piano section) does not respond to pitchbend or control change (like #11 expression), although the Organ section does. Does anyone know if there is a way to make the Sample Synth (and Piano) section responsive to external PB and CCs?

MIDI Pitch Bend is now listened to on External KB MIDI channel.

(for synth only, piano engine does not support PB); all other supported CCs are in the related NE6 manual appendix, what is not there is not supported.

maxpiano, thank you very much for the information! I tried sending PB and CC from the External KB MIDI channel (16), but still only the Organ section responded. Am I misunderstanding?

I found related messages from you and others in another topic "Has anyone DIY'd a pitch bend yet? I intend to," and I now understand that PB and CC work "only when you are also using the keys on the external keyboard." Thank you! I guess I will have to do some routing if I want to use the keys on Nord Electro while receiving external PB and CCs.
