I hope all of you are doing well. Here's my first sample covering the beginning of "Africa" by Toto based on my Stage 3 program posted at LINK --> post129601.html?hilit=toto#p129601 The sample has the analog brass on the left and kalimba on the right. The "kalimba" is a combination of the "Africa-split" sample I used for my Stage 3 program and a percussive sample I panned a little to left for effect. The sample is a little larger than I like, but every note played is mapped and all others are interpolated. The low C# has the full C#m7 chord with the filter opening up similar to effect at the end of the verse (my Stage 3 program uses Aftertouch for the effect). On the MP3 I play along with a drum track and combine the sample with the Marimba in the piano section; no effects added except reverb.

As my Stage 3 post has 4 programs, I'll be following up with additional samples. Based on your experience playing the song, feel free to offer any suggestions on how you've approached playing the parts. For example, for the solo in the middle, do you like to play the 2-part solo with hands together, or do you like to split the keyboard so your hands can be farther apart? More to follow - take care.

I hope all of you are doing well. Here's a revised version of my sample above where I added the solo synth sound used in the 2nd verse above the range used for the Kalimbas. The sample now covers the sounds I needed two Stage 3 programs to cover. The MP3 demo has the added solo synth sound at the end and the keyboard mapping is provided below. Take care.

Thanks for this! Great sounds for the verses. Do you have samples of the solo . It starts with synth which I’ve got but then quickly switches to a kalimba like sound and then back. I’d love to k ow go to set this up in Song O
Mode and A/B between the verses and the solo sections using split keyboard

Yes, the NSMP sample can be loaded using Nord Sound Manager.
