Test Drive: Synth Giants Korg Kronos, Kurzweil PC3k and NS2

Found this video thanks to an Italian musicians forum (SupportiMusicali.it) I am also member of, so I want to share it with the Nord User forum too :)

After watching this video, I really think that Nord have to release some new Rhodes/Eps samples.
Not that the Kronos is better, but I hear a difference like the difference between a 128kbps mp3 and a 320kbps mp3.
It's like the Kronos EP is a little more clear.
Or maybe it's just my ear.... :?

Maybe... I have to admit I posted the video before viewing all of it, the first part on pianos looked good but the rest is a bit... "messy" (?)
They don't seem to compare like sounds or when they do such as for El. Pianos I cannot understand the choice of sounds they made, such as the very bad PC3K Rhodes (while they use a much better one on PC3K itself in the jam session at the end of video)

A missed opportunity to make a real Test Drive, is more a fun video now to me.... Imho.

Well, I think that the electric pianos in the SV1 are even better than the ones in the Nord Stage. So I think the Kronos might be equally good in this respect. Concerning the video I must say that I do not like the Kurzweil sound and that it is my impression that the Kronos and the Nord Stage both sound very good. Nevertheless you cannot really compare these two instruments, because the concept is so different. The Nord is an easy to use Stage piano with hands-on control of all parameters right on the surface. The Korg is a complex workstation, that offers much more possibilities but is also much less intuitive to use.

Interesting that the Nord & Kurzweil are the 88-key models, and the Kronos in the video is the 61-key model! Could it be because the RH3 keybed of the Kronos (73 & 88-key models) is so defective? I have both the Kronos and the NS2 and have a defective keybed in my Kronos. We're all waiting for Korg to come out with a fix!
Aside from keybed problems, I rate the Nord #1 in this video, Kronos #2.

Yes noticed that.. and the reason could really be the well known Kronos RH3 issues

I loved the fact that the Nord Guy played Queen´s who wants to live forever on round 3 :-P

Also WTF no NS2 organs?! And nord only gets about 1/6 of the Round Three time!! I also got to say that it would be nice if we have a new Rrhodes, but I still like the old ones cuz they are so bassy.
