Sometimes my NS3 stops holding a sound

Post by Eriknie »

Sometimes i have following problem:

When I hold a key, the sound stops. If I lift the key and play again it is fine.
This also happens when holding a chord.

Happened around 5 times the last few week, twice yesterday when I was making a few sounds for specific songs.
Yesterday it was a piano with layered strings from the sample section that stopped.
I am also pretty sure that it always happens in a few seconds after changing sounds, so perhaps a bug on the seameless transition?

Seems to me as a software bug.
Does anyone recognize this?

I have this only when the Nord Sound Manager is connected.

Yes, could actually be that it only happened when connected to the sound manager.
This makes the issue a lot less problematic.
I keep monitoring the drop-outs.

This happens for a second when you save a program when NSM is connected.

There is also the possibility that you have a mod setting that is doing this. Make sure all mod and LFO settings are set to 0-

I've seen the same thing, and I believe that the Nord Sound Manager occasionally polls the keyboard, and the keyboard has to stop what it's doing for a moment to answer back. Not an issue when performing.
I think I have gear issues ....
