Can I tweak the sound manager at all?

Post by eddie1261 »

Here's the deal. I have an Eletro4D. I use 6 patches the whole night. However, they aren't close to each other, so where I use bank 1 patch 2, then bank 20 patch 4, then bank 3 patch 4, then bank 18 patch 1... etc,... I would really like to be able to have just those sounds in a "personalized" version of the sound manager. I mean, the data list on and transmitted that patch spreadsheet can't be much more than a shortcut to send a bank and patch change stream of data right? It's not actually sending the parameters of the sound. I wonder if there is a way to clone the GUI of that software to personalize it like I want to. Anybody heard of, or done, anything like this? It's computers, it's data, it's MIDI. It HAS to be possible.

Naaah.. complicated solution vs a simple problem: why don't you just use an app that can manage SetLists and send Program Changes (there are many both on Smartphones/tablets and computers, e.g. Setlist Maker, ForScore,..)

Or, even easier, why don't you use the Organize function of Nord Sound Manager to move those Programs and put them in adjacent memory positions (so you can easily select them using NE4 panel buttons)?

This. It really helps to understand what you can do with the "Organize" function in Sound Manager.
