Sorry to bother the community with an issue with this old device, probably you already are years ahead with new models.
This is my first Nord, lead2 rack.
Do the program slots work on the rack?
They light, and I can tweak the parameters individually.
But I cannot mute or activate the A B C D slots.
And also I cannot use the same function for layering.
Of course I can set A B C D to the same MIDI channel, and then I can hear the programs.
But that’s not practical.
Seems pretty straight forward on the menu, and on the interface.
I was wondering if this is only available on the keyboard version.
Thanks for your time.

Re: Nord Lead 2 rack program slots not working?
Hi Navin,
The Nord rack synths do not behave in exactly the same manner as the keyed versions. On the rack units, the slot buttons DO NOT work to mute/unmute slots. On the rack units, slots are ALWAYS active as to their respective midi channel settings. Just set all four slots to four different midi channels and you have four synths in one.
bless, pablo
