INFOLINKS popups needed to support the site?

This week I noticed pop up advertisements from "INFOLINKS" on every page on both my desktop and tablet browsers. Is everyone seeing this?
I don't mind in-line ads, but popups make me activate my ad blocker.

If one of the Admins could comment if popups are necessary to support the site it would be appreciated.

I imagine donations and ad revenue are down at this time, so I encourage anyone who can to donate to the site (see the Donate link at the bottom of the page).

I don't see anythink like this, neither on my desktop nor on my tablet ....

I use an adblocker and I do not allow popups in the browser, so I see no ads.
Maybe Johannes can clarify?

yes was proposed to me as a test but indeed bit obstusive, so now removed it, as not preferred way.
Thanks for all the supporters/donators as is highly appreciated! Anyhow, thanks for the feedback and should be fine now (Anyways, all registered members should never see anything on this website, strange...)

I normally browse the forum as a guest and only log in when commenting, so this probably explains the behavior I saw.
