Nord A1 with Octatrack — midi issue (please help)

Hi there,

I'm having trouble with either the midi out of the Nord A1 or the midi in of the Octatrack. I would really appreciate some help. Since my A1 is out of warranty, I'm desperately worried something on it might be broken.

I have followed the midi setup instructions recommended in the Octatrack manual and midi interaction seems messed up. When I try to use the Octatrack's midi learn, it is not hearing any knob tweaks from the A1. Notes are not being recognized either. Some information is going though, however. Hitting a key, B in the third octave of the A1, triggers PLAY on the Octatrack. Hitting A in the third octave switches the Octatrack to its next track while A flat makes it go to its previous track. Turning the program / menu knob on the A1 sometimes removes triggers from Octatrack tracks or it will activate "channel select" in the Octatrack's midi note setup.

I'm really hoping someone here is able to help me with this issue. Both machines are like new, the Octatrack literally new.

I dont own either machine, but if its not a malfuction its probably something to do with MIDI CC options. Also, factory reset is a go-to fix for these kinds of things if nothing else works.

Just guessing, but might help.

Thank you for the reply. I'll try anything, including the reset if that's in the manual. I think I went through all of the options in the CC menu to see if anything would make a difference, and nothing did.
