Or, more seriously, is this because we think WhatsApp (a Facebook company) would somehow improve our flow of communication? I’m not a WhatsApp user, so could you explain the advantages?

Luckily not, at least not worldwide and if there were I would never subscribe to such a group... friends' groups of over 5 people are already confusing enough! But there are a few groups on FB, the global one being this (and there are also some local/national ones, if you search maybeyou find a Brazil one or you may initiate it).

PS: I sometimes look at FB Nord groups, but I still prefer NUF.
