I've searched the threads and I'm not sure where to post this. Please could a Mod move it or delete if not relevant to anything.
Genuine question. I have an Electro 5D, I have a Mac running Catalina, I want to edit samples. Is this only possible by running a 'virtual machine' in my computer? Neither SE2 or SE3 work for me.
Perhaps I'm missing a step somewhere. If anyone can help, many thanks in advance.

OK, you will either have to go back to MacOS 10.14.6 which is the most stable build and I would never advise anyone to run Catalina in a music studio setup because there are still issues. For the Electro 5D I'd stay with the sample editor 2 as NSE3 does not yet support other machines other than the Stage 3 and to be released Wave 2. This is while firmware releases are created to support the NSE3 function set and compatibility with updated instructions for the NSMP3 setup.
You might be aware that Stage 3 OS 2.5 was released at the same time as NSE3, but creating samples with NSE3 means that it is restricted to the stage 3 series currently, until Nord releases the firmware updates for the NE series, grand and piano series, they will have to do this.
NSE 2 last build is still available, however NSE2 doesn't support catalina but will run fine in MacOS 10.14.6 final build. NSE3 does run in catalina 10.15.2 but as I say, running this latest OS is not helping professionals and musicians with their hardware and software needs. Nord isn't the only one facing this issue.

Thanks lew - I'm personally not having any stability issues running Logic Pro, but then I'm only using the included plugins/instruments - maybe other's experience will differ. Thanks for the ideas but I think I'll just assume that it's something I can't use anymore unless I run some kind of virtual machine.
I think I still have an old windows virtual software login thing I used once when I tried Linux - I'll dig it out if I really need to. Cheers for the info
