Royal Grand piano sample flaw

Post by johnpeer »

When I play the Royal 3D piano on my NG, there is a glaring inconsistency on the C# and D above middle C, when these keys are hit sharply. It's a high tone that is not on any other note.
Could someone please let me know if they have that on this sample on a NG, or any other piano?
What would that be...the sample itself?
This is my first sampled grand...I'm used to my RD-700NX and its "boring yet consistent" virtual piano.

it's the sample. Think this is bad? try a korg kronos with the german grand and find 4 notes out of tune + phase and inconsistencies in sample velocities. This is nothing compared to a kronos. If you listen to various pianos on the grand and stage, each piano has it's character and a few minor flaws but it's part of the charm, trust me. no two pianos are alike, different strings, tunings, hammer felts, actions, sound board and case materials, etc they all have their own characters, that's what makes the piano a unique instrument. I wouldn't worry too much, try the white grand, far sexier in my opinion lol.
