Nord Rack 2x local off problem

was mach ich falsch? der NL2x funktioniert im Local on Modus tadellos. Wenn ich ihn Local off betreibe, sprechen die Potis und Knöpfe z.B. Frequency nicht an. Alles wie eingefroren, Kann also Sounttechnisch nichts verändern. stelle ich wieder auf Local on, funktioniert wieder alles. Betreibe ihn über Logic, mit externem Keyboard Edirol PCR

What am I doing wrong? the NL2x works perfectly in local on mode. When I run it locally off, the pots and buttons speak e.g. Frequency not on. Everything as if frozen, cannot change anything in terms of sound technology. if I switch back to Local on, everything works again. Operate it via Logic, with an external Edirol PCR keyboard

Of course, Local OFF means "all local (on board) controls are off"... they are still sent via MIDI (as CCs), but unless you send them back (to the expander) from Logic, they won't work. Question is: why do you want to use the NL2x Rack in Local OFF?

local off is only ever used if you're running from a host environment / midi based environment where a master controller takes over all functions, it's not necessary these days unless you're clock syncing / MMC configuration within a digital MIDI studio. Leave local on as any master controller you use will still send midi messages to the midi in of your 2x rack and you can still edit on the fly with the rack, local on is also fine when doing SYSEX update or patch editing / transfer.
