Sample pitch
Hi all. I am trying to create a bass sample. I recorded the note at E1, and although I can load this sample into my Electro 3 no problem, E1 seems to play a different pitch, like the G right above. No matter what I change in the settings I can't seem to get E1 to actually SOUND E1....This is my first crack at using the editor, so I feel like I must be missing something really basic. Any help you can give would be hugely appreciated!

Re: Sample pitch
Hi and welcome on NUF.
What frequency is the .wav originally sampled? Have you assigned it to the E1 key in Nord Sample Editor, befor egenerating the .nsmp?

Re: Sample pitch
If everything else fails... check the video.
It is 20 minutes, but just watch it and try the things shown and it will save you a lot of frustration trying to find things out on your own.

Re: Sample pitch
Ok......quick update.....TOTAL operator error......
I recorded the notes in Digital Performer as midi and bounced to disc as audio. When I went back to check sample rate.....
One of the midi notes had gotten shifted from E0 to F#0. It can happen pretty easily, an errant mouse drag is all you need...when I shifted it back to E0 and rebounced and entered the corrected note in the sample editor, everything worked just as expected. It totally sucks to get old!! Thanks for the help though guys!!
