Semi Hard Case for Nord Stage 3 Compact
Hello, I was wondering if somebody here knows about what would be the best or ideal Semi Hard Case (or Hard Case) for a Nord Stage 3 Compact ?
I do have the red Nord Gig-bag which is fine and very light to carry around. However if I happen to be on a tour where the instruments would be placed by other people in the luggage compartment of a bus or airplane the red gig bag will definitely not do the job of protecting the instrument against knocks and blows etc.
I'm looking for the ideal semi hard case or hard case (semi preferable) that it is the size for the Nord Stage 3 Compact. I don't want it to be bigger.

Re: Semi Hard Case for Nord Stage 3 Compact
For this you should use a decent hard case, which is always a bit larger than the soft case and of course larger than the instrument itself.
Have a look at this for example: https://www.musicstore.de/en_DE/EUR/BOX ... 004866-000

The Gator TSA cases are light and tough. I have the 49 version for my A1, but I reckon the 76 version would work well for a S3C, if not a tad too long. The internal adjustment to fit your keyboard nice and tightly is very good though, and you'll have space for a pedal or two and some cables.

SKB 3i-5014 works GREAT! Also check PELICAN (PELIKAN?)
It's just a bit tight, but I sometimes put my Nord in the gig bag and then the gig bag into the SKB case. That way I get extra safe packaging in the hard case, and can ditch the hard case in my hotel room, using only the gig bag while out and about.
bless, pablo

Isn't the SKB 3i-5014 made specifically for rifles ? How do you put the NS3 compact in there ?pablomastodon wrote:SKB 3i-5014 works GREAT! Also check PELICAN (PELIKAN?)

Re: Semi Hard Case for Nord Stage 3 Compact
TSA usually asks if I'm carrying guns, but these case makers are fairly smart and know how to repurpose their basic rotomolds for other uses with foam inserts and such
the 3i-5014 case can be found listed under their musical instrument category
leaves enough space for some wires and/or a pedal and still under 50lbs to avoid airline overweight baggage charges
