Korg released a new keyboard called Vox Continental
https://www.korg.com/us/products/synthe ... ntinental/
Looks like a nord stage because it has the drawbars working like knobs for some staff that the Nord Electro does not have.
It's like in between.
I don't know if that can have the sounds upgraded later like the nords, but I don't see myself getting into that.
What do you guys think?
Korg Vox Continental, a NStage wanna be/NElectro should be?

It's been out for a while. Some good info about this comparison at http://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthread ... cs/2937480

Re: Korg Vox Continental, a NStage wanna be/NElectro should
I owned one for about three months, and gigged with it once. It's a toy. Well, that could be mean - but compared to an Electro it feels like one. There's a lot to play with and I could recommend it as a first board for a gigging musician. But it doesn't come close to the Electro in any way - build quality, sound quality, keyboard (yeah, even the Fatar is better), and interface. I especially didn't like the "tonepads" for tonebars that you had to drag your finger over to move.
It had some good sounds and probably beats the Nord on Vox and Farfisa emulations. If that's your game, if you are in a B-52s type band and want that look, it's a good price. Honestly though, save up for an Electro, it's so much richer. Also the included retro stand, while cool-looking, is worthless for taking on the road. It doesn't collapse down, it dismantles into a heap of pipes - I took it out once and then back in the box it went.
