Re: Cleaning contacts ..
I use 99% isopropyl alcohol. Contact cleaner in a spray can is available at many electronic supply stores. If you use this, do NOT use the type that contains oily anti-corrosion ingredients. Good luck.

Re: Cleaning contacts ..
Try not to get it on the rubber, which I think is actually silicon. Use a Q-tip (cotton swab) and rub the alcohol only on the contacts. Whatever you do, do not just spray “contact cleaner” into the instrument.

Re: Cleaning contacts ..
I very strongly recommend AGAINST using any form of traditional contact cleaner on key contacts. Isopropyl or acetone.
Note that most contact cleaning jobs are accomplished with only compressed air -- it's usually loose dust or similar causing the problem, except in the case of drink spills or similar.

Re: Cleaning contacts ..
Commonly I use a piece of rubber, normally used for erasing pencil from paper. Just a few strokes over the print-contacts as well as the rubber dots will do the job.
