Electro 6 new samples

I'm a Nord Noob after using Korg for 20 odd years so sorry if this seems a daft question.

I'm trying to use some of the samples users have created on this forum into my electro 6 through the sample conveter but it won't recognise them. Does the E6 use different file types or something?

Are you sure they are samples and not synth patches? Electro won't recognise these.

Don’t bother with the Sample Converter. Use the latest version of the Sound Manager and make sure drag the sample into the “Samples” category, not into “programs” or “pianos”. The sample will be converted automatically to nsmp3

The way is to first load the sample into the Electro with the sound manager, and then create a program which makes use of the sample. You then can play it when selecting this program. How did you try to use it on the Electro?
