Hey,
This might be a stupid question, my I'm in urgent need for help.
I have Ableton 9 installed on my computer. It works with a normal midi usb keyboard, my now we are trying to use my friends band new nord eletro 5d keyboard, and we can't get the midi signal into ableton. What are the configurations for this, and/or, how can I approacht the user manual in a way that don't take me into a rabbit hole of advanced settings...?
I just want pure notes...
Again...
Sorry for the amaturish nature of this question...

Re: Basic MIDI USB connection
Hi,
I've did some reading (and the manual isn't that hard to read). And this is what is being said about the midi connection:
Maybe a stupid question: did you install the Windows (if you have Windows) driver?

So, they should transmit on both ports (USB and DIN).MIDI over USB and the standard MIDI connectors are always both active at the same time. There is no need to select one of the two options in a menu or similar.
