Control pedal, poss to control wah only, not volume?

I'm wanting to set up my Yamaha FC7 control pedal on NE5 to control the wah effect - but I'm not finding a way to do this without it controlling the volume also - can anyone advise on this please? thank you !

There is a Ctrl Pedal on/off switch for Part Lower and Part Upper and also on Effect 1. For wah on its own, you'd want to have that Ctrl Pedal turned on for Effect 1 and turned off in the Part Upper or Lower so that the pedal is only controlling the effect and not the volume of the Part.

Well...
Page 5: "...while CTRLPED turns on or off the control pedal as volume functionality."
Page 10: "...The CTRL PED function lets you control any of these using a Control Pedal."

So it kinda does mention how it works..
Nord manuals are a little special in that You kinda have to read them through well and memorize a bunch of stuff in order to use the keyboard.
Most other keyboards You can do a lot without the manual, and only look up stuff when You need them.

I guess there is one thing not mentioned in the manual: If there are dependencies between using the ctrl pedal for Upper volume/Lower volume/Effect 1 rate.
But it's not mentioned because there is no dependency. You can use any combination You want.

Belated thanks @fieldflower - I'm going to look into this more / the dependencies/combo's... I think this is what's been confusing things actually ....
Think the Nord manual expects a certain level of prior knowledge - leaves quite a few gaps that need to be filled in...?
