Loading Samples on the Stage 3

Hi there. I have a Nord Stage 3, which I have owned for a couple of months now. I want to be able to trigger a short audio file on the Stage 3, but so far it has not been possible. The audio file needs to be converted to Nord format by using the Nord Sample Editor. However, the Sample Editor software is not yet compatible with the Stage 3.

Does this mean I am unable to load a sample onto the Stage 3 until the software has been updated and made compatible? Has anyone experienced this issue? Is there a quick solution? Your comments are welcome.

Easy. You create a v2 Sample in the current version of the Nord Sound Editor then convert it to v3 using the Nord Sample Converter, as also explained in the NSC page http://www.nordkeyboards.com/software-t ... -converter (read it all and carefully)

I have the same problem. The editor will not connect to my stage 3. I downloaded all the newest updates and believe that you don’t need the sample converter anymore.

You don’t connect the Sample Editor to the Stage 3. You create the sample using Sample Editor without connection (offline so to say), save it and the load it to the Stage 3 with the Nord Sound Manager which will automatically convert it to the new format of the Stage 3
