Stage 2 - pitch bend range

Current Stage 2 user. Rather than upgrade to Stage 3, I'm considering adding the NL A1 rack to my live rig as it would give me access to more synth parts. One of my few gripes with the Stage 2 is the whole step pitch bend limitation. My understanding is the NL A1 keyboard's pitch stick is variable range. Can anyone tell me . . . would I be able to bend pitch more than a whole step on the NL A1 rack controlled by my Stage 2 via MIDI? Thanks guys!

Hi 4dubs, yes because the Stage2 (and any master keyboard/synth in general) transmits anyway the full range of MIDI PB values, so the actual "bending range" is determined by the expander/synth that receives the MIDI data, not by the source.

If you have a PC/Mac you can try that with a Virtual Instrument and see yourself

I would bet on a "no" as I expect Nord to have kept the same philosophy of the previous Stage models, but I think we need to wait for the full specs on the NS3 Manuals to find out.

I'd say at least by the time they will ship the first units from pre-orders.
