what pedal needed for rotor spkr

is it a Single Latch Footswitch ?
I have a boss "FS 5U" footswitch via midi solutions I use for my Roland VK-8M organ module but it doesn't work with the Nord
when I hooked it in (minus the midi) I have to keep my foot on it for the leslie to activate.

Before you go shopping for a pedal please read this from page 16 of the 5D User manual:

7 - ROTARY PEDAL can be set to either Toggle
or Hold. If a pedal is used to control the Rotor
Speed, Hold mode will give you Fast speed
while the pedal is pressed down. In Toggle
mode stepping on the pedal will switch between
Fast and Slow/Stop Mode.

ok thanks so in other words in the Nord I can set the pedal I have right?

Not sure, I have a Nord Stage 2 EX with a Rotary pedal from hammond. It is a 1/4 Tip/Sleeve and it works when setting to Function Rotor Toggle. I would think that if it works on NS2 EX it should also work on Electro 5

any ordinary sustain pedal will do the trick, should have TS connection

Thanks J yes it worked I have a Boss FS-FU switch and when I changed system to toggle "VOILA"

Hi folks,

I hope it is permissible to revive a thread from old.

I have spent able 5 hours on my new Electro 6D tonight and so, admittedly, I am a bit brain fatigued!

Regarding the organ engine, this is what I would like to be able to achieve, if possible, please:

I have a Clavia sustain-pedal (which came alongside my Nord) and also a Yamaha FC3A sustain-pedal (which came alongside my Yamaha CP80). I need to have the sustain-pedal acting as a regular sustain-pedal in all of my patches, inc. organs. Obviously it is plugged into the rear-jack 'sustain pedal' input. For the Leslie on/off, I need a pedal which will turn the speed from 'fast' to 'slow' (and vice versa) but in TOGGLE mode (as I don't have a free foot to waste on holding down a pedal because I often play bass-pedals, or else play standing up). At present the Yamaha FC3A sustain-pedal is plugged into the rear-jack 'rotary speed' input.

I have tried every combination possible within SYSTEM but I just can't seem to make this happen; and have looked at page 26 in the manual and experimented with the configurations, but too no avail. All I can seem to achieve is to have the Clavia sustain-pedal either acting as a sustain-pedal, or the same pedal acting as a 'rotary-speed' pedal. But both functions on the same pedal is not much use to anyone!, I dare say.

I would think what I am asking is possible for the Electro 6D and so I am now wondering if I may need a 'latching' pedal instead, or if not an alternative brand of sustain-pedal?

I hope I have explained my question clearly/correct enough.

Hi

If you check the connections on both pedals, I believe they are not the same.
You probably need a pedal with the same connection as on your Nord single pedal, as Pablo referred to as a TS connection.
The Yamaha pedal has a TRS connection.

yeah, try a standard sustain pedal, instead of one of the special ones designed for continuous or "half" damper operation.
