Nord Rack 2 - True to RU ?
Hi
Sorry another question after RTFM and searching
I initially wanted to know the RU size of the Nord Rack 2 and it wasnt in the manual
After searching in the forum a few members have quoted it being 4RU
I just wanted to know is it truly 4RU, as in will the device, in its entirety fit within a 4RU space vertically.
OR, is it the holes in bracket which is 4RU (as the bracket is smaller than the whole device) making the actual size of the device slightly larger than 4RU
Im not able to find any clear images of the nord racked within a 4RU space on line either.
THANKS!!

Some background info, I'm picking up my nord rack 2, tomorrow
Also I am looking at a new desk which would have two sets of 4RU in built, total 8RU side by side.
So I want to know if it will fit within the allotted space
This is the desk

Re: Nord Rack 2 - True to RU ?
Assume the 2 has the same height as the 2X. Here it says 10.5mm high: http://www.synthman.com/clavia/303300.html (and 4U ? weird.. )
2X spec: from manual: 110 mm high, 1U = 44.45mm => vertical height is 2.48 U. 3U should be more than enough

Thanks guys.
probably, more than slightlyRedLeo wrote:You're slightly over-thinking this. If it's 4U, it will fit in a 4U space.

Re: Nord Rack 2 - True to RU ?
particularly since you said that you are "picking it up tomorrow"
if that's true, then just wait until tomorrow and you'll have your answer
then again, knowing that you're picking up a "new" Nord synth tomorrow is kind of like being a kid on Christmas Eve -- hard to sleep
