Re: Electro 7 - let it happen!
Honestly, I'm still keeping up hope we see an Electro this year. Nord was caught off-guard by Covid, like everyone was, although their recovery time was noticeably worse than their competitors. I'm thinking they are playing some catch-up here.
The Electro 6 is now 7 years old...is Nord really going to make it 8 before releasing a new one? And it has to be their best-selling model. They aren't going to light the books on fire with the Organ, as cool as that is...it's too niche, and will only appeal to a specific type of buyer. As for the Stage 4...well, the jury is still out on how many people have come stampeding for one. My sense is not as many as Nord might have hoped.
It doesn't help that they priced it to the moon. An 88-key model will cost an American (and we have all the money) over $6000 after taxes. That is an awesomely large price to pay for digital keyboard. And once Trumpy-poo starts his tariffs, it will only get more expensive. Although he hasn't come after Sweden yet...just Denmark...

Re: Electro 7 - let it happen!
I am just checking the concept of Piano 6. Is it a good thing to have 2 sample sound in HI/LOW zones together with a layered piano sound? Without at least a Lowpass filter it is an unnecessary duplication of the single layer, I think. So Piano 6 is some kind of test of the user acceptance of the Electro 7. But if NE7 is ready (and only not yet released) Nord won't have the chance to fix the conceptual problems.Gambold wrote: 31 Jan 2025, 00:15 Honestly, I'm still keeping up hope we see an Electro this year. Piano 5 had already the 2 samples + 2 pianos capability, either as layers or as split.Matt-new wrote: 01 Feb 2025, 00:03 I am just checking the concept of Piano 6. Re: Electro 7 - let it happen!
You are right. So the main development consideration on the NE7 is the effect section. If they add the NS4 effects completly - that would be "too much".N8CVD wrote: 16 Feb 2025, 13:43Piano 5 had already the 2 samples + 2 pianos capability, either as layers or as split.Matt-new wrote: 01 Feb 2025, 00:03 I am just checking the concept of Piano 6. Re: Electro 7 - let it happen!
Would it be possible to cancel the order peple made during NAMM for the new orgen or the piano? If the limit is e.g. 30 days, then Nord can now announce NE7 without losing those NAMM pre-orders

Re: Electro 7 - let it happen!
Hilarious. There's no "information" about anything. From where did you expect to receive any? Let's see...
Facebook page? Nord's official FB page serves to promote its house musicians. There is no other information to be found there.
https://www.facebook.com/nordkeyboards
Website? The website replaced the catalog. And like any paper catalog, it is a static document. Except the parts where they promote their house musicians. And where you can download patches to the Stage 4, which none of you bought.
https://www.nordkeyboards.com/
This forum? Nord has repeatedly stated with great emphasis that they will have NOTHING TO DO with this forum. Heaven forbid they actually touch base with customers.
Stockholders meeting or quarterlies? Clavia is a private company. A VERY private company, it's owned by like two people.
You could try a phone call. You'll have to dig for the number, Nord removed their customer support line from their website. Don't worry, if you do manage to find it, your call goes to voicemail and will not be returned.
Feeling taken for granted yet?

No information, just reasonable guesses. Nord just got their Organ 3 out the door, and it took longer than expected.EdwardGlekov wrote: 20 Oct 2025, 21:45 Well, it's time to revive this topic, just like 4 years ago)) fingers crossed

Next priority from a product manager's perspective would be the Electro 7 you seek, likely armed with the improved B3 engine, leslie as well as the per-voice FX setup as found on the Stage 4 along with a few other goodies from there. Time is of the essence, as the new Legend One is having big success in Electro's category. Maybe we'll hear something next spring?
I think I have gear issues ....
Re: Electro 7 - let it happen!
I have sold my NS3, because I felt that NE7 will come soon. But now I am checking Yamaha MODX M.

It's an Electro-killer. And possibly a large reason we haven't seen an E7. Clavia may have realized that they can't compete at that price point. Lending weight to my theory that they are moving their product lines "up" to professional/institutional/idle rich customers. Indeed, we may never see a new Electro - could be the new paradigm is if you want a Nord, buy a Stage or a Piano. The Electro 6 might be it, gents...they will keep making it for a couple more years as long as they can sell them, but no, you aren't going to see an E7 priced at $3500. No-one will buy it.

Anyone seen any reviews on this model, specifically in comparison to the Electro (which is priced over $1000 more...that's a LOT more jack to pay for Nord's senescing sample library).
