Honestly, I'm still keeping up hope we see an Electro this year. Nord was caught off-guard by Covid, like everyone was, although their recovery time was noticeably worse than their competitors. I'm thinking they are playing some catch-up here.

The Electro 6 is now 7 years old...is Nord really going to make it 8 before releasing a new one? And it has to be their best-selling model. They aren't going to light the books on fire with the Organ, as cool as that is...it's too niche, and will only appeal to a specific type of buyer. As for the Stage 4...well, the jury is still out on how many people have come stampeding for one. My sense is not as many as Nord might have hoped.

It doesn't help that they priced it to the moon. An 88-key model will cost an American (and we have all the money) over $6000 after taxes. That is an awesomely large price to pay for digital keyboard. And once Trumpy-poo starts his tariffs, it will only get more expensive. Although he hasn't come after Sweden yet...just Denmark...

I am just checking the concept of Piano 6. Is it a good thing to have 2 sample sound in HI/LOW zones together with a layered piano sound? Without at least a Lowpass filter it is an unnecessary duplication of the single layer, I think. So Piano 6 is some kind of test of the user acceptance of the Electro 7. But if NE7 is ready (and only not yet released) Nord won't have the chance to fix the conceptual problems.

Piano 5 had already the 2 samples + 2 pianos capability, either as layers or as split.

You are right. So the main development consideration on the NE7 is the effect section. If they add the NS4 effects completly - that would be "too much".

Would it be possible to cancel the order peple made during NAMM for the new orgen or the piano? If the limit is e.g. 30 days, then Nord can now announce NE7 without losing those NAMM pre-orders ;)
