Very good question Daniel  !

i'm playing a Nord Electro 3 HP

I'd like to see a collaboration between Clavia Nord and Gospel Musicians Neo-Soul Keys
That is the best sampled EP for Kontakt and also they are collaborating with Yamaha Motif

It's really an awesome library and now they are introducing their Wurlitzer as well,
would be great if these companies can work together somehow,
I would be glad to pay for the Neo Soul keys in Nord format.

I would welcome that partnership. We just released our new Neo-Soul Keys 3X with Wurli, Stage and Suitcase. We also released the Suitcase and Stage for the Motif and the new Stage for Motif sounds amazing:

We actually reached out to Nord, but no one has contacted us back :(

Well i think the Neo Soul Keys is good (i have the new 3X yet) but in way very special- what the call "specific urban sounding". For me in the high end of velocity the sound miss the last punch to cut through in a mix when soloing. And there are velocity switches in the samples to hear. Scarbee has made this better in my opinion. But to lay chords the Neo Soul Keys with its very good effects is great. I would like to see a Scarbee Rhodes for all purposes and an Neo Soul Rhodes for special things in my Nord!

I hope nord get on board with this, like I've already said, I am happy to pay for new sounds.

This is something there would be a market for.

Keep on at them.

I would gladly pay you/Nord for more of these sounds.

I am ready to throw my money at you/them.

Why are you offering to pay for it? Nord offers therir samples for free and you want to pay? They should record new samples and offer them for free. That's one of the reasons why I choose to buy a Nord.

If they don't up their game, someone else will.

It isn't the economic climate for smugness and complacence.

My next board will do the job of my present one better. I don't care who makes it.

I'm happy that I wasn't the only one thinking this way....

My biggest issue with the Nord EPs is that, to me, none of them get the bark right.

As for Neo Soul, they may sound great, but I don't think anyone should expect quite that kind of EP in a Nord. He had to work hard to get the full version down to a "mere" 500 mb to fit into a Motif. I don't think anyone here would want to load a 500 mb EP into a Nord Stage 2 (it would be your only piano), and it wouldn't even fit into an Electro. You can't expect a Scarbee/NeoSoul piano in a device that doesn't have the hardware to support it.

I do sympathize with everyone who wishes there were some updated EPs from Nord, I do too, but honestly, I don't see a reason to moan about it. The OP got one polite response from Nord, they're aware, and that's fine. I don't see any reason to keep writing just because you didn't like their first answer. The way I see it, you buy a board for what it does when you buy it, and it's a bonus if it gets better... a bonus Nord has treated us to more than anyone else. But if you need a killer EP, and the Nord doesn't do it for you, you should not have bought a Nord in the first place (or at least not as your only keyboard), and that's not Nord's fault.
