Hello, my program and samples at the very beginning cover the 76 and 88 key Stage 3s and above as well are programs by KeyBard covering the 73 Compact using a different split and adds another program for the violin part - this thread above has more info: nord-stage-3-programs-ns3p-ns3pb-files- ... ml#p129541. Take care.

Outstanding work on this. I love the collaboration and great ideas. If you don't mind me asking, how have you managed the tempo changes throughout the song? I was considering using the excellent sample work and using different patches for each section and then driving the end through the master clock. Just a thought, but I haven't made it that far just yet. I would love to hear everyone's approaches to tempo changes on this song.

Very kind regards,

Harpo

Thank you. I don't have much advice on the tempo changes as I haven't played this song live, however as noted at this post above--> nord-stage-3-programs-ns3p-ns3pb-files- ... ml#p135122, the WAV files I posted could be used to create the ending by piecing together individual notes or you could record the riff using the 32nd notes sample and then create a new sample with it playing in a loop. At the link is a wav file I created for the C note playing just before the violin comes in. The timing can be adjusted using Audacity or other audio editing software, or you could opt to play the note manually so the timing is easier to transition to which is slower than the intro. I hope this helps, take care.

More to come, but below is a revised sample in mono covering the intro pattern in "F" and also in "E" for those who transpose down a semitone. The "G-C-G" iteration is on the "G" key and "F#" has the pattern down a semitone. The slightly slower "C" note at the end before the violin solo is on the "C" with "B" is also set up for those playing down a semitone. The sample would be used in place of "WhoBabaORileyFGW.nsmp3" in my original post. Take care.

Has anyone figured out how to play this sample to a click? My band will perform this song with a click in our ears and I can have midi clock sent to the Nord so it's locked to the click but the sample loops on its own... I wonder how I could figure this to sync with a click... any ideas?

Hello, and welcome to the Forum! If you set the left-hand sample "WhoBabaORiley16W mono.nsmp" (or "WhoBabaORileyFGW.nsmp3") on "hold" and play along with a click set for 118 BPM, you can periodically just hit the "F" note again to retrigger and line back up with the click as needed. The tempo changes toward the end before the violin solo. KeyBard provided a mp3 here if you want to listen to that transition. I hope this helps, good luck!

Hello, and welcome to the Forum! The problem is that you need a single sample that will cover what I use at different ends of the keyboard on my Stage 3 with two samples. An option for you is to load "WhoBabaORiley16W mono.nsmp" and "WhoBabaORiley32W.nsmp3" into your NE6, and then use Nord Sample Editor 4 to create a NSMP3 file sampling the notes. With NSE4 you would have the option of putting both into a small range on the NE6 with the piano covering the other, or setting it up with the 16th notes at the low end and 32nd notes at the high end with the center section of the sample silent for the range covered by piano. You would be able to have the intro 16th notes continue to loop using the sustain pedal, but it would affect the piano as well, so no sustain on the piano might sound better. Good luck!
