I meant synth vibrato. Amount and rate are only accessible through the sound menu, and are global.Hlaalu wrote:Chorus/vibrato settings are already per program... or did you mean the Farfisa and Vox C/V bug? That one I'd have liked to see it addressed too... it's too bad these two organs don't get much attention.

I wasn't aware of the synth vibrato being customizable. But indeed, if you use it more often, it would be nice to have it per program.
Or get it updated to the new "tru-vibrato" engine of the NP5 - whatever that exactly is. I'm not sure if there's quite a difference, the tru-vibrato rather being designed for natural sample instruments and the classical synth vibrato being well usable in synth sounds? Would that refining technique incorporate well into the A1 synth engine?

Re: New OS v2.60 for Stage 3 - still no significant enhancem
I just created a new thread with a review of the new MIDI Velocity Curves which I view as a huge improvement.Schorsch wrote:Hi,
a new OS was just released for the Stage 3 with some fixes, but still no significant enhancements. Not even support for the new v4 sample format added yet which was mentioned some time ago:
v2.60 (2021-09-23)
- Improved handling of high-velocity strokes during quick key repetitions.
- Adjusted velocity curves for incoming and outgoing MIDI.
- Added MIDI menu option for “MIDI Out Velocity Legacy”. Set this to "On" to instead use the pre-v2.60 velocity curves, if needed.
- MIDI velocity curves for Extern Keyboard Velocity options were adjusted.
- Program Change messages were still received/listened to when set to “Off” or “Send” in MIDI menu, under certain circumstances. Fixed.
- Adjusted Volume Level dial acceleration.

Hi SuperStage,
having read your other thread I agree that this is indeed a huge improvement - haven’t considered this when I wrote “no significant enhancements” since I am not using an external controller keyboard for my Stages

Has anybody had the feeling that with the fixing of the loud key issue they changed slightly the touch curve so that velocity is a bit lighter now? Possibly even lighter than before with the touch setting at its heaviest...

Does any one feels that piano sounds got little more thin?
DOes anyone note that Piano Eq was slighter smoother?

Re: New OS v2.60 for Stage 3 - still no significant enhancem
Hi !
I have updated from 2.54 to 2.60 yesterday without hesitation, as no major changes were listed.
Now the main screen constantly shows "Flt.FLO Amt" and some synth sounds sound very strange, like a very very long vibrator. But I haven't changed my programmes, so something fundamental must have changed. Does anyone know this problem after the update and above all: How can I eliminate it without having to check and change all my programmes individually.
thanks a lot for any help,
Matthias

Hi
As a test I would suggest to reinstall 2.54 to confirm that it is related to the new OS

Thank you for the idea, but the error persists when I reinstall version 2.54. As I have not made any other changes, there must be some dependency on the updateflorence wrote:Hi
