Hi MartinJ2EX and thanks for the reply. I didn’t know about the reset as I got my info from a post by catosim with links and some directions provided to set up the arduino environment. I got all the necessary files/libraries installed but ran into a compiler error when I tried to load -something to do with MCU. I’ll try to get the exact error and post again.MartinJ2EX wrote:I'm uploading my Arduino sketch for the D9U.Normhart wrote:Update* I’ve found a thread from a user named catosim that outlines the procedure for reprogramming the d9u. Apparently it’s a matter of matching midi cc#s. I’m going to need to dig into some computer stuff unless there’s some kind of preprogrammed utility that makes this easier.
You'll also need to download Arduino from https://www.arduino.cc/en/software
It's quite simple with the template I downloaded somewhere - it took me some time to find the part where I could change the MIDI channels, but after that it's a piece of cake
This one considers the following:
Controlling the currently active panel drawbars, via the global channel 11 (S2/S2EX) or channel 12 (Stage 3) via the switch on the back.
If you want to control both panels separately via the switch on the back, you will need to Panel A+B to MIDI 11+12 AND swap out the CCs at the top of the Arduino program to be both the same and for Stage 3
You can change the MIDI channel if you scroll down to find a note that says //mode+10 sets MIDI channel 11 or something
Also, you'll need to read page 15 of the D9U manual because you will need to reset your D9U to flash the new program
"In case you need to reprogram the board, one second before clicking the "LOAD" icon in the Arduino IDE, you have to "reset" the board by making a contact between the terminals labeled RST and GND using a small screwdriver."

I’ve had an error after I flashed the code, and tried to re-flash an update with the changed MIDI channels - after I did the reset it worked, but it took a few tries tbh.Normhart wrote:. Just reset and re-flash, it should work

@rockymtnnord OP - if you haven’t pulled the trigger on a controller, this one might be interesting for you:

Arturia Keylab MKII 61 keys. Try it, you’ll see. It is perfect.

Re: Recommended 2nd Keyboard for Organ Playing
You may take a look at the Crumar Homepage. It seems they will come up with a new organ controller.
I am currently using M-Audio Axiom 61 2nd gen. This works well, but the Crumar will have drawbars, so it may well be that I will be a future customer of Crumar
I also used a SL with waterfall organ keys. That was really good for playing, but it turned out not to be very reliable.
Cheers
Rainer

I checked their website and couldn't find any info about a new controller to be released soon. Where did you see it?wahrerrichard wrote:You may take a look at the Crumar Homepage. It seems they will come up with a new organ controller.

It's not yet on their site, it's on their Facebook page (I posted the link and picture in another thread (the one reported by MartinJ2EX) nord-stage-forum-f3/ns2-76-2nd-controll ... ml#p141526)Hlaalu wrote:I checked their website and couldn't find any info about a new controller to be released soon. It is going to be a "Half DMC122" (SMC 61?), based on an Open Hardware/Software project (GM Lab style) and sold preassembled by Crumar.

I see, grazie max. Let's hope it's going to be reasonably priced. The DMC 122 wasn't cheap...
