You mean something like this? Image

From Crumar FB page:
Work in progress...
The music stand is removable (just slides in from the top like on a Clavinet), has Swell & Sustain pedal input jacks, supports velocity or high trigger, has Pitch & Modulation wheels, 9 drawbars, buttons for percussion, vibrato/chorus, rotary speed (or other functions) and 6 knobs. Can be self-powered (from USB-B port) or DC-powered via optional 9V DC adapter. It's an open-source open-hardware Arduino-based project, but will only be sold pre-assembled.

The drawbars on the VR09 cannot be set to control the NS2. (At least not without external assistance.)
Sure? I thought it could work, based on the fact, the Roland are offering an editor app for both the VR-09 and the VR-730 which made me believe that the drawbars are seen as controller MIDI data.

If not, sorry for misleading the OP.

Cheers from Germany

Many things on the VR09/VR730 are editable, but you can't change what the drawbars send out, which are fixed commands (and actually not even MIDI CC like most clonewheels, but MIDI system exclusive, making even external adaptation more complicated).

Thanks everyone for your ideas.
In the end, I found the Novation Launchkey 61 (MK2).
This is a discontinued model and had been superseded by the MK3 but the MK2 has a DC power option.
