Thanks.
I took the leap of faith and substituted all. My only observation is that I needed to pull out some (or all) of the EQ I had programmed to enhance the 5.3 EP’s because the 6.0’s are so sonically fat. Truly amazing what Nord has done. Waiting for leonardo 1 to chime in as I believe this was on his Christmas wish list.

I know that Nord Stage 3 has some cool features and the filters developed for the new EPs are not as important as the higher resolution samples.
Hey Clavia folks, please have more respect for the Clients of the other models!
Some have commented on the whining, and in general I agree, but in this case I believe that 1) the OP is referring to Sample Library 2.0 vs. Sample Library 3.0, 2) the OP has a poor command of English language, and 3) the OP is operating on misunderstanding about the sample libraries.
A few general words on this topic may help to illuminate the details around this: Nord implemented some changes to the proprietary sample format on the NS3 and going forward. There are now three separate sample libraries on the Nord website: Sample Archive, Sample 2.0 and Sample 3.0, the first two of which are compatible with ALL sample-capable Nord instruments except Nord Stage 3 and subsequent models. The Sample Library 3.0 is compatible with NS3, NP4 and NE6 models.
The differences between 2.0 and 3.0 have nothing to do with audio content. The 3.0 format is an expansion of the 2.0 format to allow the inclusion of metadata related to the individual samples in order to facilitate better file handling capabilities from within Nord Sound Manager; the actual audio content is unchanged. Users will commonly (and mistakenly) assume that the 3.0 samples are somehow superior to 2.0 samples in an audio quality sense, but this is not the case.
bless, pablo

I‘m a „Nordie“ since less than a year only, coming from the Yamaha/Roland/Korg rompler faction and have to really applaud Nord for what they are doing. I have never seen such a service from all the other vendors I was using/am using, even by taking into account the sometimes much higher price of the Nords their support is outstanding and much more worth than the price difference. We get tons of sound for free, continuous OS updates with not just bug fixing but also great new functions and improvements which can’t be honored enough. So don’t be unfair to Nord but recognize their efforts and customer orientation, despite the fact that they may not always support end-of-life products the same way they do with their current lineup - you won’t get anything at all for discontinued products from all the other mainstream vendors except of probably fixing of some serious bugs.....

Thanks.
I've relaced the old EP's one by one by using the substitute option in the latest version of the nord program manager. it not only replaces the electronic piano's but also reconnect's the new ep's sounds with the allready linked programs.
have to say, that I'm really impressed by this update.
i used to be a Roland fan but the Nord stage 3 is by far my favorite board ever. Althought there were some troubles with previous updates, i must say that Nord really listens to it's customers and try to fix things as quick as possible.
Also now these day ,free updates and new sounds free is a big big + for Nord.

I have an old Electro 3. These new "npno" files for the EP sounds might be the first "npno" files which will *not* work on my Electro 3.
If that becomes the case, I will not feel to have been poorly treated by Nord. I have enjoyed the updates such as the Nefertiti EP and the Royal Grand AP. (these were distributed well after I purchased my Electro 3 in December 2012).

Then again it wouldn't be the first time older gear gets an os-update to at least be able to cope with the new format although the software won't make use of the 'extras'.
From Clavia's perspective that would mean they can consolidate on 1 format and expand the sound-collection while still keeping 'former' customers 'attached' who might buy newer gear just to be able to make use of the full functionality.

The might make V5 versions available. But if not, you got 9 years of being able to keep current with all their sounds. Which is probably about 9 years more than you could have gotten out of any other board you might have bought at the time, except maybe Kronos (whose new pianos you would have had to pay for).
