Nord Stage 3 is going to be released around 02/2016, so its best to wait...remember electro 4, and less than one year later, an electro 5
Nord, ah ah, we see you now...

Why should they do that?!

Every release cycle of a Stage took at least 3-4 years...

And except of the pipe organ, there would be nothing really new they could add...

But let's wait till NAMM 2016, then we'll know more. ^^
If there's no Nord Stage 3 at the beginning of next year I'll get the 2 EX :D

They could put the A1 in the synth section ;)

I wonder how much the NS2 EX will sell for then?

Is that a real new thing... I think the synth section would have to be at least twice or 3x bigger... ^^

Yeah, that's why I said the release cycle is at least 3-4 years ;)

The only thing that makes me sceptical about the 2 EX (and its 3490 price...) is the missing pipe organ, which would have been a nice feature for me (even though I'd use it rarely... I always want to have everything... so I buy no REAL cheap S2, because of the missing memory... :D )

Bloody hell, $3,490? That is so extortionate! I am surprised anyone can afford to keep up with their new releases!

Well, they could add... : - Extended PitchBend Range !! -24/+24, adjustable in semitones, would make many customers very happy !!
- More Memory (say 1.5 GB) for the Piano-section and (say 700 MB) for the Synth-section.
- A more flexible range of shift, when using layers. Now you can shift only one or more octaves up or down when using sounds in a layer. It would be very nice when these fixed
positions could be changed in more flexibel shifts. For example a Pianosound, layered with an Organsound with a pitchshift of +7 (the Piano at zero) or a Piano at -5 with an Organ
at zero and a Synthsound at +2. This would be a nice tool with great musical power !!
- A function which some keyboards have, but most do not. It is for example implemented in the SuperNova 2 (from Novation). It will let you choose between 2 settings of behavior of knobs and sliders. The first, 'standard', is already there in all keyboards : You turn a knob and the parameter will react according to the position of the knob. This will cause, in some cases, sudden (big) shifts in the sound when the value of the parameter is (very) different from the actual knob position. The other setting will be that you hear no change when you turn a knob, until you reach the position with the corresponding value. At that point, the knob will behave normal. This setting has a great advantage : No sudden soundshifts !
- More voices (say 20) for the Synth-section.
- An extended display (something like the ELECTRO 5 has) with the ability to save setlists.

When they release a STAGE 3 next year, they are completely mad, haha !!! They won't do that IMO !

My prediction is that the NS 3 will come in Summer 2018. So I will sell my NS2 in Jan 2018.
