Hi guys,

I have trouble inderstanding the notation of this part: 'g#m7(b5)add6 C#7#9'

I do read musical notes but the chords stuff is quite new to me. Could anyone tell me what the between brackets '(b5)' means?
And is the 'C#7#9' a seperate new chord? why then is there no "|" between the two?

b5 means flat 5, cos the b's as close to the flat symbol as you can get with a normal typeset.

The first chord is G#m7, with a flattened 5th instead of the 5th (ie D natural instead of D#), and add to that the 6th (F natural). So something like G# B D F F#

The second chord is C#7 (C# E# G# B), then you add the sharpened 9th at the top which is E natural
(E#=Fnat)

Thanks for the chord tips !
Vanelli is always hard to cover in band and this is helpful.

As for the tabs section, I think this should remain a Nord only forum.
You also may run into copyright problems. Only good point I see is increasing the # of visitors on the site.
