thanks all for your inputs. The conclusion is that today no simple solution is available. Doing Song per Song is not an option for me, using the html report is the same, will require to do it Song per Song... and decipher the ns3s, well yes can be done but would prefer that Mr Nord add this simple column in the Manager as suggested...

Agree. I have quite a few Programs I like that aren't listed in any Song List, however narrowing the list of Programs to consider for deletion would be a nice feature.

What about cookie's second idea: I'm not sure if it does what you want, but it might work:

1. Create a full backup of your instrument (just for safety);
2. Create song bundles of all your songs;
3. Erase all programs, songs and samples;
4. Restore all the songs you saved via the bundles.
If it doesn't work, restore your backup and rethink your options.

Yes maybe an option if not limited to 25 items like Programm bundle… will try this evening.

Well, the only way you can program a song and assign a program to it is in the instrument. If that has not been done, the song will appear "Empty" in the NS3, and blank in the Song Tab when you click "Organize" in the Sound manager. So, you can go into the instrument and scroll through the songs listed in the Sound Manager and easily see which programs are being used.

IMHO this is not the simplest option, as it shows the used one by one only.

This is a tricky workaround and a bit cumbersome... but it works except you have to do it by step of 50 songs. also few comments:
- the Song entries changed during the import, not sure why, I had to reorder them :thumbdown:
- the restored Program/Sample location are the same, means you can then easily group/move the Program/Sample to new location with the Organize feature. (Moved programs are also updated in the Songs as they contain only shortcuts) :thumbup:

Having the used/unused info in the Programs column would definitively be an easier option. I sent the request to Nord, maybe they will consider it.

btw thanks all, with your help I was able to re-organize all my programs and have now spare program location :yourock:

Not quite. In NSM you can duplicate a Song, and freely "relink" the programs, and rename the Song. Bam! A fully functional Song.

I went for far too long without knowing.

Yes, but you cannot create a new song, which is what I was referring to-

Time for me to do the same as Christian : identify (remove) all the programs that are NOT used by my songs.
Like Christian (French habit ?), I have 80% of custom programs but also many factory programs used in my songs.

Will save the song bundles (this 25 limitation is very frustating : any justification ?) and will then make some space to load new programs.

I believe this CSV export of the bundles in the Viewer will prove to be helpful !
