Exactly. As I wrote in my previous post. Every click does match with a volume change, but it takes a few clicks to make the LED move. This is because the volume adjustment steps are higher in number than the number of LEDs physically present on the panel. Nothing is wrong here.

Indeed no clicks on my level knobs on the NS2EX.
Just curious , what about the other knobs , does it also have clicks ?
- Synth "shape" and "freq"
- EXTERN
- EFFECTS "rate/tempo" and "amount
what whould be the reason behind it , why they have change it ?

Extern has clicks, Effects do not, neither rate nor amount. On the Synth, I have the rev B so some knobs are different, but all waveform, osc config and pitch have clicks.
Also, the main Program knob has clicks.
Some other knobs have detent but I suspect the Stage 2's did as well.
I'd say the clicks work for values that are discreetly adjustable, so they do have a meaning in my opinion. Not a huge deal anyway...

It seems that the OP has a preference for the way it was on the NS2EX. I'll speak for myself and say I learned something about the way the NS3 knobs work.

ok thanks - that's fine. I will adjust and certainly don't want to make more out of it other than my former board was much smoother operation on the level knobs. Thanks for looking and clarifying.
