Hi, thanks for the links they're great! I'm having trouble finding the africa_split patch though to get the full program to work. Any help?

Re: 4 Programs for "Africa" by Toto
Hello, the file is a Nord Stage 3 sample "africa_split.nsmp3" and it's with my post at the top in the listing of attachments. If you have already loaded the program "Toto Africa p1 W.ns3f", all you need to do is load the sample and then point the panel B synth for the program to where you've saved the sample. Take care.lydian90 wrote:Hi, thanks for the links they're great! I'm having trouble finding the africa_split patch though to get the full program to work. Any help?

Thank you so much. My Pedal (Yamaha FC7) was arrived today and it is functional with the soundsWannitBBBad wrote:Glad that's all it is. The morphing capability of the Stage 3 opens up all kinds of sonic possibilities by being able to morph various controls (not just Level) to the Control Pedal, Mod Wheel, and/or After Touch. Here's a simple example of morphing the B3 and Strings to the Control Pedal and the B3 drawbars to the Mod Wheel. My "utility" program can be found at nord-stage-3-programs-ns3p-ns3pb-files- ... 15745.html and you can get to other examples easily going to https://nordusersounds.com/ and sorting by USER. Take care!Bluerabbitt wrote:Ahh ok. Maybe thats the reason, cause i dont have a control pedal. I will buy one and let you know here when it is workingWannitBBBad wrote:...From your description it sounds like you may need to get a control pedal, such as a Yamaha FC-7, to turn up the levels I have morphed to the Control Pedal, as a hold/sustain pedal will not work in the Control Pedal input. Please let me know if that was the problem. Good luck.
best regards and thank you so much

greets Reiner.

Hi WanitBBBad,
that sounds are really great!
I am looking for the kalimba sound and your africa_split sample is the sound I need, but without the split, or split point f flat.
Is that possible? Because I play the Kalimba sound with two hands.
Thank you.
Helmuth

Thank you. Unfortunately, as I did not create the africa-split sample, I can't modify it. One option would be recording each note as a WAV and making a new Stage 3 sample from each of the notes. Good luck!Klangwerk wrote:Hi WanitBBBad,

Re: 4 Programs for "Africa" by Toto
Thanks WanitBBBad for your fast answer. I´ve solved it with a additional layer, marimba mono 6.1 from the piano section. (when playing only with NS3).
When I play with my whole set, I can layer with my Roland D-05 (-5 HT).
That sounds really fat; and with a prophet 5 sample for the Brass sound.
Thank you
Helmuth

Hi WanitBBBad,
I´m still not 100% satisfied with my layers. First I thought it sounds good enough, but it not totaly perfect.
I would be perfect, if you could modify the splitpoint to F Flat of the africa-split sample. If possible?
If it´s not too much work for you I really would appreciate it.
Thank you very much.

Hello, I recently posted a sample that covers the brass and kalimba split at E that should help. The file is at nord-user-samples-nsmp-samples-f14/toto ... 21007.htmlKlangwerk wrote:Hi WanitBBBad,

Re: 4 Programs for "Africa" by Toto
Sounds really nice. For the analog brass sound, try setting the AMP and ENV release about 2 to 3 so they won't "close" so quickly after the notes are released. You'll notice a difference in the intro chords. Take care.hupox wrote:WannitBBBad...Try me program for Africa
