I'm looking to invest in the new Alesis Vortex Wireless 2- and I'd like to use it to control my Nord Stage 3... 'Included USB receiver creates a wireless connection to any Mac or PC, or most keyboards with USB host port' The USB port on the Nord Stage 3 is a B port on the back, which is only used to connect to a PC for download of sounds... could it be used with the included receiver of the Alesis, maybe with a female A to male B USB converter? Any ideas welcome
I have considered buying the panda midi beam but that almost renders the point of buying the alesis 'wireless' pretty pointless haha I already have the first generation wired version... Thanks for all your help so far!
I intend to buy Alesis Vortex Wireless 2 as well and want to connect it to my NS3. As I'm a beginner and not experienced in MIDI in general, I would appreciate a tutorial how to set up and connect the Vortex to NS3 in detail.
My summary would be to first try the following USB to MIDI converter to connect the included wireless dongle to your Nord, then if it doesn't work without stuck notes, then go to a professional wireless MIDI system like @sus_4 recommended.
NS3-88, NS3C, Casio CT-S1, Radial Key Largo, Westone AM Pro 30 IEMs, Rolls PM59 Headphone Mixer, K&M 18880 Keyboard Stand with 18881 Second Tier, Holeyboard Pedalboard, Bose S1 Pro, JBL 305p MKII Monitors, Zoom Q2n-4K Gig Camera, Behringer XR18 Mixer
Also trying to connect my Alesis Vortex Wireless 2 to my NS3 safely. Any tips for this in 2024? Specifically, Im going to play inba big stadium with 30.000 people (Spice Girls tribute in Netherlands). So I have bluetooth / connectivity anxiety id like to walk 30 meters on a catwalk...
