They have the same version numbers as the ones on Nord's page, so I guess it's only the sample library format (not the piano library format) that has changed.
I'll try to copy the piano files (via soundmanager) at some point, and see what format they end up being.
The layered pianos in the Youtube link sound like they are the long-promised MKS-20 samples.

Just tried this, and ended up with the 4 layered piano sounds and the 2 new digital grand as well -- all as what appears to be normal .npno files (all dated June 12th, so surely these are very new piano samples). I could try to download them to my NE3, but then I need to clean something out first, so I'm not sure I'll be doing that now.
But the piano samples do appear to have at least the same "surname".

This one is documented on p. 52 of the manual.
Not in my manual... which was the printed edition that came with the board, where the appropriate section "11 Menus" start on page 50
I took a quick shortcut today and didn't double check with the (updated) version of the manual that is online. Looks like I should have done so. The printed manual is "Edition: A" whereas the downloadable is already at "Edition: C".
Now I wonder what else has changed...?

Wow, thank you very much. Appreciated strongly.
As others said, the format of the piano samples is still 5.4, so we can expect them to "run" on our "old" hardware. This is good news. (Otherwise he would expect Nord to bring OS updates to make them usable.)

(and you can listen to a short impro-snippet of the layered pianos, just to give you an idea what they are about: -- done very quickly here between end of work and start of evening stuff I need to do also, so it's quite "cheesy" but you may possibly get the idea; the sounds are not really my kind of style any longer (it was maybe 20 years ago))
Very nice. Nice sound and very nice playing. Thank you again.
However, it seems that these are "only" layered EPs. Nothing like EP plus synth pad, or grand with strings. Of course the new models (starting from Electro 5) can layer pads and strings themselves. But I had expected that Nord would bring some "typical" layer sounds (like there are some even in General Midi standard) usable on Electro 4.

This is exactly the information I was looking for. The DigiGrands seem to be new, indeed. There are only the Electrical Grands (CP80) and the Digital Pianos (DX7) so far.

These DigiGrands should be these GOSPEL CLASSICS that were almost released at NAMM this year...
Can somebody try to upload them via Nord Sound Manager and put them into an older Stage or Electro?
I remember when the 2EX was released, you could download the Factory Restore-file, rename it to ".zip" and unpack it. That way we could get the DX7 sounds earlier than they were released...

Well, it's pretty straight-forward to do; you can upload the individual sounds and it results in a .npno file that I think can be downloaded to any other board (I didn't test with NE3 since it's already maxed out with sound). The DigiGrand 1 and 2 .npno files are each around 10 MB in size.
